Picea glauca var. densata 'Charlie J. Nickel' is commonly referred to as Thunderbolt™ White Spruce. It is a very hardy evergreen tree that is perfect for windbreaks and privacy. It can reach 40-60 feet tall with a 10-20 feet spread. It is noteworthy for its attractive blue needles, good disease resistance, and excellent tolerance to heat and cold.
Thunderbolt™ Spruce is deer resistant and wet site tolerant. It thrives in full sun in fertile, evenly moist, well-drained soils.
